The job I applied for passed me over 2 days after my interview date, on the 7th. I only recently found this out through my e-mail.
You can't win them all.....

I just recently applied for a suitable position that just opened up at another place I've been looking at, who's also located close to where I live. I don't think I applied for them correctly a few weeks ago, but I have done so now since they just now sent me a confirmation e-mail.
I'm hoping that my experience in a similar position in two past jobs will help me get in the door. Until then I'll just be trying to keep up with their hiring manager.

Most places don't have the balls to say "you didn't get the job"

Yeah, the e-mail went more like "We were impressed with your credentials, but we're looking elsewhere". Obviously not adequately impressed.

this happens a lot, sadly. I know, I applied to plenty of jobs and always get shot down lol -
It sucks you got turned down, but at least you know. I just got a rejection for a job I applied for last year. Just keep looking, you'll get something eventually.
