Time to get strict +Fake Adopters/interests by Sapphirus

Ok, so im getting this trend going on from people for the past month in a half when it comes to my adopts. I'm getting sick of the hope breakers, etc. Im gonna give this warning as my last for future adopts. Because you know, when ppl say "I'll buy this! Hold" etc, it brings up a person's hopes for selling something they hope would get an interest, then tell you next that "they stop collecting adopts" or something cheesy, it breaks hopes especially mine, and I don't got time for fake interests. If you're gonna buy the designs and adopts I make, make sure you're set and ready to do it and be sincere.

I sound selfish but when you get the constant issue of people ruining your hopes saying they'll buy stuff from you just to shrug you off in the end a lot, can get annoying. I can always use the extra cash too.

I had some that says they'll get back to me and they never do. Gonna start really blocking people like this. Several people who done this I noticed some time after I seen they purchased other adopts on their page after saying they'll come back to mine, and they never get back to it. I was nice about this for a whileeeee now, but im gonna have to be strict for now on. Thanks.

If you're an adopt maker/character design maker, and you feel the same, share your opinions, I wanna see others situations that might be related like this. =/

I wouldn't honestly hold it longer than 24hours of posting they buy it. I've seen it as a common rule listing and they just move to the next buyer.

I think it better to hold auctions because auctions are legally binding in the USA. Any offers posted in auction must be fulfilled or you can take legal action. Even if they try to remove or withdraw their offer. As long as you got it in writing. (I don't think normal flat rate buying is held to the same strictness.)

Though I would have to look up the page I read that at. It was DA I believe. I was curious about it one day.

I've seen people make the starting bid the actual amount they would sell it as and make the buyout price a bit higher. Its a nice little trick really. Say flat rate without auction you were selling a doodle for 10 bucks.

You would make the starting bid 10 bucks and if someone goes higher your basically making profit and a bit extra. Though in my opinion this trick gets less attention when your going 20-30s ranges.

Also sniper or sniper protection. People will normally do 48 or 24 hour sniper protection on auctions. Is a nice trick also. You get a longer chance of seeing if anymore are interested but also customers feel more protected. No one likes to lose because someone stalked in the shadows waiting till the last second to win the adoptable.

It might take a bit longer to sell but I think its honestly more secure. I feel your pain though. I hope this helps. :/

I tried Auctions before and didnt get luck, I had it lasting for like a week, my starting bid was 5$. I should try again though. Shade the flatcolored pc I made into a shaded one. Might have some luck. Didn't know there was a law/protection for them wow. I'm mind blown, goes to show how much I missed out afterall then.
