Going to keep this short since I'm needing to get up early tomorrow and head to visit my grandparents in VA. Anywho we finally have the sequel to the Spongebob movie, and I'm just going to say it now, I really like this movie regardless of some flaws. It's not the greatest but it's my personal favorite film of the year so far because growing up, I was a HUGE fan of Spongebob and to finally have a good funny Spongebob sequel to the first funny movie, it's just great. Now this movie was intended for 3D and you'll notice that by a lot of moments in the film, and there is also a reference to one of the best memes to come from the first three seasons of Spongebob, hint: it involved Squidward. Now with every movie there is a few flaws and of the big flaws being that the story is not really focused, many critics have said it felt like a few episodes of Spongebob and it does, one about time travel and the other being the superhero stuff. Speaking of which, if you were expecting there to be a boatload of CG goodness, prepare to be dissapointed because it's only during the final act of the film. Granted most people who HATE the idea of the movie taking the characters into CH will be pleased and yes most of the movie is in glorious, long-awaited 2-D animation on the big screen (also in real d 3D) however the CG moments were WAAAY overhyped, although I have a theory as to why they did this. It's mainly due to kids being more interested in CG movies rather than hand-drawn movies is the reason in my opinion, although some kids will be dissapointed by the film being mainly 2D animation but personally I think it's fine much like everyone else. Now is the film funny? Yes it is, there are jokes throughout the film and each one gets a laugh. Also during the time travel scenes whih are VERY trippy (and also made for the 3D) actually has a song I do enjoy who did the song exclusively for the movie called "Squeeze Me" and it just has a good beat to it. Also there's a small, cute, sweet little talking seagull who is wearing Spongebob shorts in the film and get this... His name is Kyle x3

Anywho if your a fan of Spongebob like me, you really like this movie and even though it's not as good as the first film and not very focused, it's still pretty good. If your not a fan you may or may not like it depending on your sense of humor. But yeah I really enjoyed it and I look forward to the blueray 3D of the film (I saw it in 2D)
