My Top 10 Favorite Movies of all time by JohnStripedfur

It's been a while since I made a journal so I decided to just do one because I'm bored and need to put something new on my page. And considering I did a Top 10 movies I hate the most a while back. I think it's time I put down another list of my favorite movies. To me, I think great movies must have a rewatchability thing. Like, you enjoyed the movie so much, you can watch it again and again and never get tired of it. Like, if it comes on TV, you stop and watch it no matter what you're doing. There are great movies out there, but sometimes they are the ones that you can watch just once and that's it. To me, my most favorite are the ones I can watch again for so many times and still enjoy it. And if I hadn't seen it in years, watch it again, and still holds up. That adds more to it.

So, without much ado, here's my list of my Top 10 Most Favorite Movies of all time:

  1. Tommy Boy (My most favorite comedy movie of all time. I was such a huge fan of Chris Farely back in the day and this movie is where he shined as a major player on the big screen. It still makes me laugh even today. Fat guy in little coat.:P)

  2. Ghostbusters (I can't get enough of watching this movie. This movie still makes me chuckle at some of their jokes and the story and characters are very memorable. Even though some of the scenes were a bit intense when I was kid watching this for the first time, but considering it revolves around ghosts, you have to expect that. Makes me wish they're not making a reboot of this one.)

  3. Jurassic Park (I was a bit scared of this when I first saw it, but after seeing it for the second time. I loved it. It doesn't scare me anymore. I just love the premise of this movie and it kept me over the edge throughout this movie and this is one of the rare times when the movie is better than the book.)

  4. Twister (My most favorite disaster movie of all time. I'm a huge sucker for disaster movies. No matter how overthetop they are or how silly the premise is, I will always enjoy seeing how people deal with natural disasters. And Twister is the best one of them all.)

  5. Die Hard (The greatest action movie of all time. This one launched so many clones throughout the 90's and a few of them in recent years (White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen). It also made Bruce Willis a household name in the action movie genre and it's also the only movie you can watch not only all year long, but also Christmas.)

  6. The Avengers (I consider this movie to be the best superhero movie of all time. Even though Iron Man 1 and Cap 2 are good, Avengers is the most fun. This movie took a lot of chances and it paid off than any other franchise in history. It's the first ever crossover movie on such a huge scale and it's enjoyable from start to finish. I can't find one singular scene that is my favorite because I enjoyed this movie so much that I'll be willing to put aside 2.5 hours just to watch the entire thing.)

  7. The Lion King (Pretty much my most favorite Disney animated movie of all time. I couldn't get enough of this movie. It's an almost perfected animated film. From the animation, the story, the characters, the songs, and the score. Overall, in my opinion. This movie is better than Frozen. And I like Frozen.)

  8. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (I was introduced to this movie by my parents and their friends when I was young and ever since I saw it. I instantly fell in love with it. The story and the characters helped make this movie so memorable. Even though the effects are dated by today's standards, the story makes up for it.)

  9. Raiders of the Lost Ark (This is the ultimate adventure movie. Indiana Jones is the man a lot of us growing up wanted to be. An archeologist beating up Nazis. If you hear that the first time, people think that's stupid. But, after seeing this movie. You might start to think of taking up archeology or history for that matter.)

  10. Braveheart (This movie is the ultimate biopic movie. This one single handedly made William Wallace more well known than any king during The Middle Ages. Say what you want on Mel Gibson, you can't deny that he has acting and directing talent. And this movie shows that. As well as a powerful story that makes you want to stand up for freedom and go into battle.)

Honorable mentions: The Princess Bride, The Secret of NIMH, Tombstone, Bad Boys, Dante's Peak, Kung Fu Panda, and Lincoln.

Those are mine. What are your favorites of all time? :)
