As soon as it stops being a blizzard here every other day, I really hope to take some photos of the new felt masks my partner and I just finished up. Realistically this will probably happen in early March, but I am just bursting to show these off. :3

I've got quite a bit of felt work to get done before Anthro New England (EVERYONE SHOULD COME TO IT), plus a jewelry commission for the spring, plus a large felt commission for the spring also. I'm really happy to be making stuff for people out in the world, especially since some of it is in collaboration with my partner - it is super-cool to be getting money and recognition from... like... adults who care about fine art and craft and stuff. It's really humbling and exciting and it makes me feel like a Wee Professional Craftsperson and all giddy and stuff.

THAT BEING SAID, the internet art community is ... well, it's my roots, you know? I learned to draw and was inspired to go to art school because of people on dA. I really want to make stuff that I can post here more often, more casually/informally. I'd also love to be able to take commissions and do trades and fun stuff here too. It's neat that my clients right now are locals, but besides that they're not people I share a community with - I mean... most of them are wealthy middle-aged moms! What I'm saying is, I'd love to bring what I do back into communities I care about. That's a big part of why I'm trying out selling at a furry con. ^^

Basically I have all these awesome Big, Serious Commissions to do but what I really want is to be working on personal projects, sharing them online, and nerding out with other people here/on dA. The last deadline for the Big Serious Commissions is early July, so until then I'll probably still be a bit sluggish here, but ughhhhhhhh. flails arms
