Until I turn one year closer to the quarter-century mark, and two months before my 8th anniversary on DA, and being officially involved with the online community beyond that certain petsite game every kid is drawn to before they seem to grow out of it..

.. And typing with bandaged fingers due to weather-dry cracking is a real pain, drawing, mousing, and otherwise >.< Had to get some non-latex gloves to work with when I previously never needed them until this season ¬.¬ Not to mention there's a threat of at least a foot of snow crashing through my planned commission day twice in a row. Those are days specifically for commission work that are hopefully at LEAST 90% uninterrupted from my day 'jobs'. Bleugh, I don't fancy snow shoveling 2-5 hours straight again -.-;

On another note, I'm hopefully soon going to be looking into training to be a Reiki Master so I can help at hospitals alongside my gliders, and my bearded dragon Mariyna who will be 2 years old around the same week as my birthday - WOO! She'll be old enough to pick up boyfriends.... if any are in the Maine area... I'm not sure the specifics of registering non-canine/feline/equine therapy animals for my area, but if it works I'll likely end up covering a good chunk of mid-coast Maine in visiting hospitals along the coastline towns/cities and bringing a small moment of happiness to patients who would otherwise be waiting their next treatments.

It'll be interesting to pursue this field, considering I was keen on animation and game design when I was still in high school. I had taken a workshop for an energy course called Quantum Touch waaay back when I was 15, which I've heard is considered a Reiki workshop on steroids with many of the concepts and mentalities shared between the two. I know a good friend from that workshop, whom I haven't spoken with for a number of years, that is also a Master herself. I'm just not sure at this time if she still teaches or knows anyone else as I've yet to hear back about my inquiry.

Pursuing this career might affect my art a little, but hopefully I should still be producing if I can manage a part-time schedule with Reiki after certification.

One can just wait and see what comes around the corner, right?
