Please consider this petition from All Out. It concerns the civil rights of Virginia Furry fans and could effect the rights of every American Furry. Here's what they have to say.

(Tomorrow,) "a committee in the US state of Virginia will be considering a law that would allow doctors, teachers, and all companies to deny service to gay, lesbian, and bi people under the guise of “religious and moral convictions”. Doctors could turn away gay patients, and movie theatres and restaurants could throw out anyone they even perceive to be gay.

"The bill is going to a critical vote. If we succeed this week in convincing members of the committee to vote ‘no’, it will never see the light of day. Let’s show them that citizens in Virginia, across the US and all over the world are paying attention. Add your name now!"

They posted an update to this petition today. It reads...

"24 hours to go! – More than 124,000 of us have asked Virginia's House General Laws Committee members to vote NO on the proposed anti-gay bill. If passed, it would allows doctors, teachers, and all companies to deny service to gay, lesbian, and bi people.

"Tomorrow, we will deliver the petition directly to the Committee’s Chair. The stakes are high and assembly delegates - even the Speaker of the House - are feeling the heat.

"We have less than 24 hours to increase the pressure and get to 150,000 signatures before the delivery tomorrow, and let politicians know that we are watching. Every signature could make a huge difference. Add your name now."*

At the time I post this, they are claiming to have gotten 139,525 signatures for this petition. The more they get, the better! This matter effects us all and many of us directly. It could even effect those of us beyond the USA. If Virginia can get away with it, then for instance, won't the Harper Conservatives try too? Or the Cameron Conservatives, or Nieto's PRI?
