disturbing dreams by Wolf-In-Ohio

So for two nights in a row I've had nightmares about demons or whatever they were

I don't remember a lot but in the first dream I was possessed by a demon. I could feel it inside my head and it kept taking control of my body and i was in tears because i was so scared. At one point i tried to calm myself and focus my mind but when i tried i could hear it saying stuff in my head which kind of made me panic more in the dream. I also tried to gain control over myself by trying to say "I am strong" but for some reason the demon wasnt letting me say it completely? like i was choking out the words. so i had to keep repeating it until i could say it all (I woke up shortly after this, sorry for not specifying ^^;)

THEN last night I had another that was even more disturbing for how short it was. I wasnt possessed but i assume something gruesome would have happened if i didnt wake up when i did. i was in a strange house and i spotted what looked like a ventriloquist puppet down on the stairwell. so i went to see what it was and when i picked it up i realized that the puppet had human body parts attached.

it was composed of a skinned head with fake big lips, glass puppet eyes in the sockets, and a wig on the head. the body was wood (it felt like it when i had picked it up anyway) and had human arms attached that looked like they had been freshly cleaned of skin and muscle (there were still chunks of flesh on the bones) had no legs, and was dressed up in a little blue and white dress.

when i saw what this thing was made of, i freaked out and threw it to the top of the stairwell and attempted to gtfo when i saw this thing start to slowly rise up off the ground by itself. at that point i can recall my dreamself thinking (feeling?) "fuck this/ gotta wake up" and of course i woke up afterwards.

im sort of wondering if these could be the product of severe anxiety and insomnia but thats some messed up stuff none the less

Maybe it could actually be anxiety related. I suffer from anxiety (and used to suffer from insomnia) and, every now and then during my insomniac period I had dreams just as creepy as what you described. The problem with me is that my dreams tend to be a little to ...vivid. I've completely forgotten them (and that's good, I don't want to remember it at all), but still, when it struck it really sucked.

Sounds like the first time I had sleep parayisis. Whispering in my ear and unable to move an inch. Not even allowed to scream. Idk it sounds like your getting some traumatic dreams.

They can happen because of stress and anxiety. For me I get insomnia from stress and that causes me to have lucid dreams. Then lucid have possible to have parayisis. I can give advice. Watch lots of happy kids movies before bed. Don't watch horror stories. O.o

There's not much you can do unless you know how to curve a nightmare. I've had nightmares so frequently you just kind of stop caring. XD. Hmm idk your story reminds me so much of my first paralysis experience. The difference is my mind is awake but my body is sleeping. So that night I couldn't move except my eyes. I could look around the room. The body is asleep so ur dreams are still active. They become life terrors. The demon was crawling around the room and ceiling. Speaking some absurd language. It felt like it trapped me to the bed. After the experience I was so freaked out and terrified. I told my family that morning and they brushed it off. So not satisfied I searched the internet. Lol just another incurable sleep disorder! Lol I feel ur pain S: . Just have remember they are dreams. They'll take forms of what u fear. Fear kittens and u will be surrounded by fluff balls.

I'm not sure on your religious status or ghost and etc. I had to tell myself why would I be so special. My soul not worth much lol. Also I would think i'm being a mortal wouldn't survive a real encounter with a being like that. It has to be fake or self created. Basically convincing myself I would have stayed possessed not walking scot free. If it wanted me, it would just have me. I hope this helps :/. It really sucks having nightmares but there just pictures. :/

Geez, that is freaking terrifying as hell D: I second therion on that it sounded like a sleep paralysis, specially the first one. They can work on different manners, when you are starting to fall asleep, in the middle of a dream, one that leads to a dream, when a dream is ending... and they can be truly horrifying experiences. I had one where I was just on my bed in my room, and I could see it easily, I was just falling asleep, but I also saw a hooded, pale, shadowy figure, it was some sort of demon with a full black robe, it's face was completely covered in darkness but it had these white hands and part of it's robe was torn and could see it's snow white torso, and it was getting closer and closer to me in an unnatural manner, I couldn't move or scream or do anything except look. It all lasted less than 30 seconds, but it was terrifying.

Even worse was one where I was just falling asleep, but I felt paralyzed, and I dreamed that I started screaming horribly, and my body was stiff and as silly as it sounds, I started bouncing extremely fast all around my house, I couldn't breathe, and I heard my family scared screaming my name worried and I hit my dog with my head with my body stiff as a board and he whimpered and tried to run away. As stupid as it sounds it was so terrifyingly real somehow, hearing my family scared and me hurting my dog briefly and having no control over all that.

I do believe the contents of em have at least in part to do with all your current experiences, what hit me more about it was the "I am strong" part of it, since you feeling overwhelmed about all what you are going through, plus your anexiety issues, can make you feel that finding your strength as a real burden and you have absolutely no control on anything, at least that's what I interpret from that. My sleep paralysis dreams also happened during a period in my life where I felt I had no control over anything.

They can feel horrible, and be hard to get through, but having in mind that they are brief and they can't hurt you before sleeping, even if that means you'll have more, ends up by having you feel better after they end, or even realize that while you are in em, making it all feel less severe. Also, for some reason, leaving my tv on and staring at it while falling asleep made em happen a lot less often, the only times I had with my tv on was because I was staring away from it. No clue why it helped, but it did, so if you have something with a screen that moves that you can leave with a sleep timer while you doze off, you could try doing that same thing as well.
