HEY GUYS! Yup you read correctly, I and Onyx Forepaw are hosting both a gift exchange and a contest for Valentines Day. This means it's both kinda like a secret santa combined with an art contest! Read below for rules and further information!!
Who's hosting?
Myself and a friend who doesn't have an FA anymore, but is active on Weasyl. We are both in contact with each other and will be judging and what not over skype and facebook chats.
How does this work?
The idea of this project is kinda like the theme of a "Secret Santa", but for Valentines Day, so we'll just call it "Secret Cupid"
When can I join and send in my entry?
You can join now, new members are not allowed after February 5th which is a week from today!
How does this work for the contest part?
For the contest, Onyx and I will be sorting through the entries for the exchange, pick out our faves, then deciding out of which of the favorites we like the most for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. All entry starts and deadlines are the same as the exchange.
DA RULES!! (for both exchange and contest)
- You MUST provide a link to your chosen character(s)
- You are allowed to have more then one character,but only two are permitted.
- Only one entry per person (meaning if you choose 2 characters as a couple, they must be in one picture only)
- We will NOT allow anything considered pornographic, sexual or suggestive, meaning no pin ups, nudes, fetishes, etc. If it's considered porn, you will be disqualified and your entry will be removed!
- You must draw anything cute, cuddly, romantic, etc. Anything that fits the Valentine's Day theme!
- Both digital and traditional works are allowed.
- Any questions or concerns? Note me asap!! Please title the note as "V Day Exchange"
When is the deadline? (both for exchange and contest)
Everyone who joins can start their entry as soon as possible,the deadline for all entires is February 12th midnight Arizona, US time.
The PRIZES for the Contest! (yay free stuff!)
There are a few prizes for the the first 3 winners.
1st place wins a fully colored, shaded,transparent piece from myself of either one of their characters or them and their mates characters together. It is YOUR choice if you would like it anthro or feral.
2nd place wins a clean colored sketch with no bg of one character from both Onyx and I, meaning one sketch from each of us. (both pieces can be two different characters if you'd prefer)
3rd place winner gets a a quick sketch from both Onyx and I. (You are allowed to have the file as a psd so you can line and color to your liking if wanted, so kinda like a collab as long as you give the both of us full credit for drawing it!)
REGARDING SECRET CUPIDS
Please DO NOT tell the person we've randomly chosen for you that you're making something for them, the idea of this project is to surprise them for the holiday, some people don't get much or anything at all on this special occasion, so please keep it secret and keep it fun!
AND NOW POST YOUR LINKS PEOPLE! PLEASE be favorable and link to an easy accessed reff sheet of your chosen character(s) along with names of the character(s) a suggested pose, expression, etc. Please do not note me your links.

I'd prefer her to be in a night setting where her stripes glow, but it doesn't matter to me. I don't have anybody else to have her drawn with though.-

Same rules like Secret Santa but the name is different. I would join. However, if I did, my drawing won't turn out very nicely unfortunately. Sometimes they do but mostly they don't.

No one here judges by quality of the art, dude if I had more time, I'd totally do an art trade with you to draw my pony sona, your work is adorable <3 It's up to you if you'd wanna join though, we're not pressuring ya ^^

Ah, okay. xD It's not that, it's just the fact I could of put more effort to the piece as I know I can.
With pony characters, I did try once of a friend of mine but wasn't familiar yet with the whole structure of the body and face. But, it turned out okay at the end. You can see the picture in my gallery. I need to draw myself one at one point which would be a cross with a Alicorn due to the one wing I have.
I join as I'm currently motivated to draw. C=
