what does family mean to you? to me, it means these people. the MancFurs, and a collective of the attendees within the meets, accepted me as one of their own and welcomed me into their little family of people early 2013 - though i didnt return for quite some time on account of my location, once i started putting all my funding into attending these meets on a regular basis this year, was when my life really started to take a turn around for the better. i have these people to thank for a helluva confidence boost, for bringing out the best in me, for welcoming me with open arms despite my 250 mile distant location.. this group of people, the amazing friends i have within MancFurs, have given me the courage and the reason to relocate so far from my hometown and start the new chapter of my life somewhere so different to where i was born and raised. i would have been so afraid if it werent for them, and id probably have no plans of even moving out of my parents house without them. i felt lost in a limbo of what to do next, and theyve given me the drive to continue and the hands on my shoulders telling me, you can do it Jess!
they are more than just furmeets. these people more than just fursuiters, artists, usernames. theyre family to me, the brothers and sisters i never had the chance to have. and while many miles of UK land and varying customs, words and accents make us different, that didnt stop them from accepting me as one of them and making me feel so welcome and at home.
to anyone who's a part of my MancFurs life and anyone who has supported me in this crazy journey in such a short space of time, and those who continue to support me right up until moving day in January and beyond, those in the video and beyond the screen, thanks guys.
