Burr! (Cold weather and indecision) by GuzzleMuzzle

I've been very indecisive lately. I'm guessing that because of a new medication I take, it's had me very unmotivated to do much of anything, but the likely culprit is the overall lack of outgoing activity in my life. I'm aiming to change that by trying to get into college next year, and maybe find a small job on campus to pocket some money for many Steam games!!! future purposes, like a better laptop (laptop over desktop because I prefer portability).

Of course, a large portion of my indecision could be attributed to the fact that I have so many games to play, lol. There's all the modern, however more or less intensive/hardcore games of my PS3, PSP, and PC, and the fact that there's so many of them to play that deciding which one to sit down with can be a hassle in itself since I've always been accustomed to several types of games on various platforms. Naturally, I'd default to Skyrim for simple but fun gameplay and pretty visuals, or any other game that a friend would recommend or want to play with me, which makes it a bit difficult to want to sit down with an involving single player game that's NOT Skyrim, or is perhaps significantly old, like some of the great game of the MS-DOS platform that I found links to huge archives of a few months ago.

I've been wanting to contribute more writings, but just haven't had any solid ideas for any lately, save for some old WIPs I haven't touched in several months. I have to apologize again for the lack of new content. Things in art have shifted in a few different directions, and I've had my own doubts as to whether what I would provide would interest readers, but I'm pretty sure that there's nothing to worry about in that area of concern.

Here's hoping you all have a great holiday season. I know that this time of the year can be pretty harsh for a lot of people, and it's enough to know that you're all safe, warm, and doing well overall in life and love alike. :)

I'd like to recommend a music program called XMPlay! ( http://www.un4seen.com/xmplay.html ). A few months ago a friend showed me how to use it, and now I've got things like Sega Genesis VGM format music, SNES native format music, and NES native format music playable through various plugins I downloaded for it that allows for the playback of such music formats. It also allows you to download "soundfonts" that can alter how midi music sounds when played back. Because of my friend, I have one such soundfont that makes midi music sound like Yamaha 2612 Sega Genesis music! There's ones for NES 8-bit sound and SNES 32-bit sound as well, among other types, and if you search for XMPlay related things you can find them!

Sorry if that's a little vague. My friend is more well-versed at the use of this program than I am, but if you invest the time into looking up its various facets, you'll find that you can have a great time enjoying both old sound formats and much newer sound formats, and variated sound options all in one program! <3
