You ever felt like...? by aokamidu

It's something that's been bothering me for a while now but I couldn't quite quantify it into words.

Having been here on Weasyl for a while now and browsing through others' artworks and the like, it's become more obvious over time that I've not really submitted anything to Weasyl because it doesn't feel good enough, y'know?

Like... I'm perceiving an unsaid requirement of technical skill and presentation (professionalism?) that needs to go into any work before it's submitted here. Honestly, I'm not the type to scrawl down anything and call it a masterpiece (heh, I'd've succumbed to only drawing... typical yiffy art if that were the case). But yeah... looking through my past work, I feel ill-suited to post anything up that isn't commission-quality (which goes to show how much talent and effort a lot of Weasyl posters go to with their own work!) - am I just being stupid or something? Hmm... I don't know.

Granted, I'm not really seeking answers or reassurance - I'd be delusion if I expected the kindness of strangers - what makes -me- so special, y'know? I'm just wondering if anyone else is feeling the same when it comes to posting anything up. I really should get something together and start filling up my gallery... But yeah, there we go. Just wanted to get my two cents out there.

Art is subjective. If you yourself like the things you draw, there should be no worries about posting your work.
