Surface Pro 3 by LudoCrow

So recently thanks to my additional income from my job I have recently purchased myself a bit of an early Christmas present to myself.
Namely, since a while my laptop had begun to reach a stayed where it could clearly be said to have seen much better days than it once had. And though very efficient(for my needs at the time), my monoprice has long proven to really not be the most portable of art tablets when traveling around.

So... I decided to kill two birds with one stone and got myself a Surface Pro 5.
Having just installed Manga Studio 5 on it and now being in the process of I importing all my Frenden custom brushes, I must say I am not disappointed so far. I'll still keep my monopole for artwork on my desktop, but it's pretty much clear the surface should easily replace the encumbering combo that my monoprice and ailing laptop were proving to be when traveling around or just generally parting outside my work room.

I'll probably continue putzing around with this and finishes configuration tomorrow, but if things go well I should be able to easily start tackling recent commissioned works :)

    The SP3 does have good comments from the artists we're dealing with in the Krita community as well :) Microsoft practically dumping the price on them means you get some very impressive hardware for comparatively little money, and well, if that wouldn't benefit a poor artist, i don't know what would :)

      Yeah ^^;
      Though the important part for me is not only that it's a very portable art tool, it's also one that allows me to replace what was slowly becoming a very much dying laptop at no additional costs.
      Two birds with one stone, basically.

        i always found the form factor a little... awkward for typing type things... But it's really much more important what the primary use of it is, and for painting, there really isn't much else out there that'll do it that well :) Though... judging by what intel are up to at the moment, that may change in the near future, but, yeah, that's the near future, not now ;)
        Oh no, poor birds! :O ( ;) )

          Well, the typing part is why I'm glad for the USB port that lets me use my old laptop's wireless keyboard : )

            Hehe, good, not using that terrible TypeCover thing they made for it, then? ;)
