Several people tried to add me as a friend in the last few days, and they are either just commenters or people I have never talked to before.
I'm sorry, I don't add people like that so easily. :c

It annoys me. The worst is on dA where you can't control who friends you or not. And that it automatically has the friend option clicked when you watch someone, but not the scraps. It's stupid.
I hate seeing my icon on people's page I don't know. People will think I am actually friends with them. >_>-
Oh god, it does? Shit, I've been friending everybody! I always check the scraps box, but I didn't even notice the friends one.

Yeah. Every time I watch someone I have to make sure I uncheck the box for that, and check the box for scraps. It's annoying.

depends on if you have your friends list visible for people. If people "friend" me but don't have it public, then I am fine with it.

That's one of the reasons I wish people could change what 'default' settings people have when you add them to watch, since Friend is checked by default which is :/

I often accidentally friend people on DA like that, it took me a while to first notice it too.
I do wonder though, has DA had that feature since forever or is it relatively new?-
It has been there for forever it seems. I don't bother with telling people to take me off their friend list on dA, so I am glad I can control what happens on here. Still felt like I had to make it known, though. xD

I used to "friend" people without knowing, now I basically don't care about it (and use it to keep in mind people I just watched to show my friends)

I dont even know what defines a friend. So i prefer not to use it :-)

I would use it as an intent to be friends with someone, but too many people will likely freak if I use it that way, so I rarely click it.

Some people use it like a follow button. Or with the intention of becoming your friend. I'm like you, don't typically add anyone I'm not actually friends with.
