Short Version:
FurPocalypse was a blast. I had a great time there. I hope to go again next year.
Long Version:
I left for Connecticut on Thursday night after work. I arrived later than expected, but that didn't bother me or the roomies I had. Speaking of which, I would like to thank Kimmerz for offering me room space for the con. I should probably do some gift art as a "Thank you", too! It was also great to meet those who roomed with us.
On Friday, I commissioned a few artists in the Dealer's room. Tabbiewolf, W0lfpawpaw, "Ryuu1ch1", and "Keevs". While my commission from W0lfpawpaw won't be ready for a while, the other three commissions came out fantastic! I also did karaoke on Friday night. I sang "Ghostbusters", because it was an appropriate song for Halloween night, LOL. And I went to the dance for a little bit afterward.
Saturday, I saw the Fursuit Parade. I have a video of it too, which I will upload soon. I also saw the Masquerade. Flash Timberwolf did stand-up comedy, and I have a feeling there'll be a "Flash Timberwolf's Story Hour" ten years from now. I think that'd be cool to see. I also went to the "I'm Not The Only One!" panel on Saturday. I explained how I got in the fandom, and I am looking forward to Joe Strike's "Furry Nation" book. That should be great to read!
On Sunday, well...not much really happened, but I still had fun. When Closing Ceremonies was going on, I was rather surprised at the attendance. 1,200 was the number I heard, much better than expected!
I have to say, FP was excellent! If it wasn't for Bioswoof and the staff for putting this convention together, well...I don't think I would want to know, LOL.
To those I saw and met there, I hope you all had a safe and fun time. I hope to return next year. And I hope FurPocalypse lives a long and fruitful life.
LONG LIVE FURPOCALYPSE!
