As the subject suggests my PC may be done for. Which is sad since it's less than 2 years old. I was gaming with my friend when I hear a loud pop and then everything went black and all audio cut out. If it's just the video card that broke I might be able to work out some work around and get a replacement, but that doesn't explain why the audio died. It's also doing something weird where the lights stay on saying it's turned on, but I can't turn it off even if I hold the button down for a minute. I can unplug it to turn it off, but the second I plug it back in it goes back to acting like it's turned on even though I didn't press the power button.
Pop came over the speakers I Think. I'm leaning motherboard being fried myself. It sucks, but it's an inconvenience more than anything. I won't be able to,access my steam library but I can still write on my tablet.
Depending on your graphics card though, it could be a cheaper fix. I've never actually heard of a computer that stays powered on its own though. I'd guess it could be a short in either the board or the power supply. Could try clearing the CMOS to see if it's the BIOS too. Did you build the computer or did you buy it complete? o.o

I doubt it's the graphics card if the computer is staying powered on its own. I'd guess it was either the power supply or motherboard. More likely the motherboard. Did the pop come from the speakers or did it sound like an electrical pop?
