Okay for real I'm gonna start trying Weasyl now. by Shane_Rufus

And not just posting here, I really want to put some work into making this a real presence. FA and Weasyl both get slammed with a DDOS, FA dies for four days and the admin begs for $25,000, Weasyl goes down briefly and tweets "hey we got this don't worry". Not hard to figure out which is the optimal location.

Of course, there's the standard conundrum of "but there's no one here" along with trying, AGAIN, to gradually put all the goddamn stories up here. Ugh. I'll see what I can do.

Also there might be a fully rejiggered tumblr incoming. Who knows.

    Yeah, I REALLY love just how damn on point Weasyl is throughout stuff like this.

    Weasyl did a great job of holding its own during the DDOS attack.

    And apparently a community is here, but it's still on the small side. Of course you can't compare it to FA's, because that community is built up on years. Here you have to reach out more, I guess is the best way to say it.
    As to uploading all your stories, there's a browser tool for super easy upload via FA. I'll have to go find it, unless someone can link to it, but it essentially grabs everything straight from an FA submission page and plops it into the upload page here on Weasyl and you can just upload it there or edit it, if you wish.

    But yeah! It's good to see you wanting to give Weasyl another shot. x3

    Agreed, Weasyl is the superior site, AND pictures posted here actually show up on Google.

    All it takes is for a few big names to get off their butts and move, or at the very least, cross-post. It's not hard.

      That organization thing is huge for me. I just need to figure out an easy way to get all my OLD shit up and situated. XP

        Oh yeah man! Folders and sub-folders, character pages, can customize whether or not you want content from Folder-X to be featured on your front page of not, etc. For example, I only have two folders right now. "Completed Stuff" and "The Mop Closet". Featured submissions on the front page are ONLY coming from "Completed Stuff", 'cause the mop closet is just kinda... rushed little sketchy things or photos, miscellaneous debris, etc. I'll probably do a new folder for all the older work, now that I'm done uploading those.
        It's pretty darn neat the stuff you can do once you figure out how all of it works. :) Reuploading all that work will be a little bit of a pain at first, sure, but going forward, the ability to keep things cleanly organized is great.

        Just right off the top of my head, I could see how the FATBC stuff could be organized. A main FATBC folder with sub-folders for each story arc, side-stories, non-canon stuff... etc. Pretty neat!
