The obligatory 2012 year in review. by KitDrago

Well, I guess that its time for me to do the obligatory 2012 year in review. At least from my own perspective.

Despite my work interference in my plans, I still managed to stay on track. The year itself seemed like it went fairly well in general.

This year STARTED for me with Furstivus. A one time convention that I am still to this day petitioning to have it brought back into existence and repeated annually. Yes, I know New Years Furry Ball is in the same month and I fully support Protocollie and Furststate, but I really think that these two events could not only co-exist, but they could work together. Like a package deal ya know?

At any rate, while at Furstivus, I made the mistake of wondering why Baltimore, MD didnt have a furry convention. With a group of friends around me going "Ya?" I slowly lost my mind and Furthemore was started. Now were 94 days from convention, and getting excited, nervous, scared, and a whole lot more unexplainable emotions about the convention. End result, is I am really looking forward to it.

I put a ring on my mate Irime Gotta love our relationship though... even is most people tilt their head 90 degrees and go "WTF!?"

I purchased my first home... and then quickly discovered that the dreams of home ownership are both awesome... and frustrating. Especially when you purchase a home from a flipper who basically puts in as minimally as possible what the house really needs. Course we didnt discover that the outside walls were not very insulated until it got cold.

I have been very happy to see the Maryland Furry Community become very active, even if over the last few months it has gotten quiet. Hopefully in Jan I will be able to reverse that trend again and spark things up a bit more. In the meantime, we have gotten things a bit more centralized at mdfurs.org YAY

Finally... at the end of the year, the world hasn't ended. The Fur the 'More Marketplace is heading into Waiting list status pending our attendance levels (more attendees, means we can expand the dealers room to bigger space and thus add more). The convention is rolling into the final stages before production, and were all excited for 2013.

Sooooo... I guess in the end, I really didnt have a whole lot to review, but I still say all-in-all it was a fairly decent year.

The obligatory 2012 year in review.
