Hey Dreamwalkers!

As the title suggests there is more than a few things to go over, so let us start at the beginning. Our pixel artists have been hard at work making all the amazing stuff within Sanctum Polis, and much more. Some of that ‘much more’ is in the sprite designs of Freedom Planet characters, Sash Lilac, Carol Tea, and Milla Basset which we just recently uploaded.

Now, you may be wondering why we are showing you this amazing sprite work when the Indie DLC is part of a stretch goal. Good question! Of course with any good question comes a (hopefully) good answer. All of the indie games, such as Shovel Knight and Freedom Planet, and their respective characters that we are showing you will appear in game regardless of reaching the stretch goal. You will have the opportunity to interact with them all on some level. However, the stretch goal will allow us to integrate these indie characters to a greater extent with battle sprites, side quests, items, and summons. All of this will only happen with your support, so we thank you again for the amazing Kickstarter support you have shown us so far.

Next on the agenda is a little change that has come upon us through a good amount of discussion and fan input. The tiers of the Spirited Daughter and Tyrant are now a little more open. We have been doing some talking and decided that, since there are some things that could still easily be integrated into the story, these characters needed to be loosened up on some of the earlier restrictions.

You now have more liberty to choose the character's species in both tiers, and in the Tyrant package, you can choose to be any gender as well. This means that these characters also ultimately determine the species and appearance of established bishops Drexel and Suriel respectively. So in other words, your choice for a single character now has even farther reaching effects in the games creation! As an additional note on the Tyrant reward, you are allowed to create a boss design which includes their fighting style in game.

We are also currently revising our stretch goals thanks to new information we've received so be sure to keep an eye out for that on our next update!
