People are frequently discontent. by GuzzleMuzzle

This isn't so broad a topic.

We all know that gaming is giant these days. Since very old, very personalized computers (not "PCs", lol...) up to what we have today, and the console gaming that furthered it most (*gasp!*), people have always wanted to throw their weight around in supposing that what they own somehow makes them superior to others. Human nature. Far be it from us to be content with what we acquire, right? Gotta stay strong at the forefronts to make for attractive breeders, lol...

What's ridiculous to me is how gamers are constantly showered with content that they can afford to however more or less extensive a degree, and yet they still can't help but play "schoolyard usurpation" when it comes to enjoying their gain. Again, human nature. What would one prick be if he wasn't bigger than the next douchebag? Never mind that for the production values they implement in today's games, there isn't much reason to whine about what you're "not getting". You have to wonder what a regular morning is like for such people, lol...

I'd state that the element of deprivation where more expensive games are concerned is on an all time low these days, but I couldn't be sure how true that is. There's a lot of fun stuff you can legally get for free, and there's even more that barely costs more than about 4% of a weekly minimum wage paycheck, many of which can provide many hours of entertainment without questioning the meaning of life ("Super Mario Galaxy? But where's the 'Beauty and the Beast Corps'?"). If you've got a computer and about $10 dollars to blow away, you can have a field day on Steam.

I may speak from "gaming experience", but there's a lot of newer games that I wouldn't mind owning (being used to many genres, formats, and gameplay styles helps.). I've only recently started fooling around with Steam where it's "occasional free games" and Free to Play games are concerned, aside from "subscribing" to several Skyrim mods.

If you love games, or want to start gaming, spend more time getting therapy out of it all than railing inane arguments against anyone that doesn't conform to your preferences. Aside from being utterly ridiculous, the science behind usurpation isn't even worth an entire college's worth of above average GPAs so much as it's just representative of either a superiority or inferiority complex, whichever hits home and sees people admitted to psychiatric care most often, lol.

People are frequently discontent.
