Furry Migration is a new convention that will be launching in September, located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. By a huge stroke of luck—and the generosity of a local friend, I will be attending Furry Migration, and I took some time to write a little poem for the convention. They liked it, and gave their permission to post it around and hopefully give them some well-deserved publicity. Here it is:

The stampede's on! The earth, it quakes!
Converging on the Land of Lakes!

The furred, the feathered, scaled and finned,
All guided by the northern wind—

The call is heard across the nation:
“Join us for the Furry Migration!”

Dragons, foxes, dogs and kitties:
We'll see you all in the Twin Cities!

Equines, raccoons, bears and otters:
Come join us near the sky blue waters!

Your quest will reach its blissful coda
In the heartland of Minnesota.

You'll find yourself at journey's end
Surrounded by your furry friends.

Fursuiting, gaming, art and writing
And so much more; it's quite exciting!

And when, at last, it's time to roam,
You'll carry happy memories home.
