The feeling of having the worst opinions about your own artful work, but very high opinions about everyone else's.

The whole "Well, I may have done this, but that person over there did something much different."

 

This isn't much of a topic of discussion. We all know how this feels.

It's kinda funny to me when so many of my friends say "Your writing is great". There's flow, but there's also relevance. I guess, if the material is consistent within itself, then it doesn't matter so very much where it is relevant to the interests of others. If everyone thought the opposite then we wouldn't even HAVE the artists who've gone forward and inspired us all...
