The Difficulty of Having Asperger's by The Incredible G

Far be it from me to complain, but having mild autism - A.K.A. Asperger's Syndrome - does have a certain disadvantage which irks me badly.

It has been theorised those who have Asperger's have 30% more brain activity than most who don't. That can explain why we are very good at certain things, but it can also explain why it's often difficult to get peace of mind. Sometimes my brain goes ape, like a TV with a remote where the channel changing button is stuck. Anything that takes up a sizeable portion of my sensory inputs can trigger it: Loud restaurants, arguments, a busy workplace. Uuuuuuughghhh... It's been happening to me all day. Dare I say, I would not wish this on my worst enemies.

Music & my conscience (think Galaranth) tend to help ease the pressure, turning the escape valve for all these random synapses. That & knowing you guys in the furry community are always there to help. You guys rock. Hard.

Okay, that made me feel better, too; Explaining all of that. Whoever said keeping a journal is pointless needs to be slapped with a large trout. Take care, furries. :3
