i hate summer (slight rant) by D6016

for clarification, i mean this summer. Hey, i like summer things, like swimming an playing aroun an walks an shiz.
Newfoundland is not known for having hot summers, but we are known for high humidity. the average humidity this summer is somewhere around 70% and we've had days at 90% coupled with temps around 35C to 40C
We ain't doin too well, even the folks who like hot weather.

I think the dogs have it worse at the moment, Our pup won't leave the coolest place in the house, she'll hold her pee an poop as long as she can just so she can stay in the one room with an AC. My room, because despite drinking a ton of water, i am barely surviving this heat.

i also had a mental breakdown and slicked off about a foot of my hair in frustration.

sigh, our dog is getting a trim tomorrow, and we're scheduling a vet appointment to make sure she is healthy.

i have to go lay down, i am dizzy

i hate summer (slight rant)

Things get absurdly hot where I live. The other day my room got to 88F. Our summers get to 115F. Drinking water doesn't necessarily help if it dilutes the electrolytes in your body, because then you get stuffy and lethargic. Your body needs salt for osmosis so it can move the water where it needs to be, otherwise drinking more water won't make you feel better. I fix this by putting 1/2tsp of good sea salt in my mouth and chugging it down with a glass of water. With enough salt I can go out in the heat for hours and feel fine with lots of energy. Celtic sea salt works the best by far, but any sea salt will do.

yeah that was part of the many problems.
We got an AC in my room and i've tried to keep it just cold enough that i'm not dieing, without running up the power bill
