I'm sorry things are being difficult for you, Probably it's just everyone is broken right now, I can't imagine why people wouldn't comission you.

Maybe what you need is offer more options. I'm honestly not an expert at all, but I've researched things for a while and I've noticed offering many different types of commissions sometimes attracts more attention.Your prices are fine, but they are very "generalized" and thugh maybe you're offering only "full body" works, sometimes people doesn't have enough funds to afford a $45 picture even if it's worth it.

Have you considered "breaking down" your commission's types? as in, offer a "bust up", or waists up" or stuff like that? You can use your current prices as a base to figure out the prices you'd use for these kind of things. Maybe you'll be earnign less than expected, but if you offer "cheapper options" besides the ones you are currently offering, maybe people would be more responsive. Yu wouldn't be earning as much with a single pic, but it's better earning a little bit than nothing at all. and sometimes, when you have more options to offer, people buy more from those affordable options.

At least that's what I'd do. I understand you need the money, but even if youre totally worth it, people can't always afford not even a $15 sketch, even if it's really good. but if you offer "sketch headshots" for, say, $7, which is half of that, maybe you'd get 1 request, or maybe you'll get 3 requests, or maybe none. I can't assure you it'll work but it's worth a shoot.

Having lots of options could encourage your potential clients.

And well, that's really all the feedback i can provide. I'm a noob myself at this whole commission's thing, but I hope it serves in your favor if only a little. Don't give up!, you're awesome artist, I'm sure people want to buy from you, they are just poor (like everyone else).

Broke as hell. That would be why. I'd friggen LOVE to purchase art from you. Heck I'd purchase a lot. Who knows what'll happen next month or when you re-open commissions. I may be a slave to the man soon... and I'd really love to purchase artwork from fellow artists. Right now it's real tight.
While on my hike back home last night I was thinking the same thing. Everyone I know has no money. So where's all the money going? I can only imagine this old fat bastard like Shinra in the Honeybee Manor all livin it up with his ladies and a fat wad of cash. Where's all the people with the cash? First comes a job and once the job rolls in and I've moved into my own place (again), I will definitely contact you. I just hope you're still open with commissions in about a month. XD /shot

My spending money usually always goes towards an artist or two every month. I love getting artwork done. Gives me something to look forward to. My Indie comic collection is growing and it's no longer just porn! YEY!

And Picarto does email people, yes (I watch about 5 people over there). So does Twitch.tv but Picarto is primarily set up for artists. Also if you stream you get randomly featured when you refresh the page. I used to browse who's online to go watch people draw. I feel like such a creeper but it's basically how I've been learning to use SAI these past few months LOL
