The loss of a parent is no laughing matter. by GuzzleMuzzle

Angrily, I suspected a lot of a certain someone this morning. Then my mouse batteries died, and I went upstairs to replace them. I was still angry. Then the target of my anger implored me not to drink so many sugared beverages because I am a diabetic.

The only reason I wanted to mention this is because I thought about a certain furry artist who shares one particular interest of mine. I'm sure you can guess what that is.

His father is dead. And this is old news.

The age of news does not invalidate the significance of news.....

The loss of a parent is no laughing matter.

Well I don't know who this artist you refer to is but my heart goes out to them. Time only seem to soften the blow until something reopens the wound and it hurts as much as it did when the news was first heard.

To lose one parent may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose both looks like carelessness.

Sad is when they die (I never said "pass away") for reasons that only make both them and those who loved them look careless.

Death is never the only reason behind the 'loss' of parents or parental guardians. It's just usually a facet of the loss.
