Commissions are open! (Starting at $20 USD) by Rollup

EDIT2: Now closed. Thanks to everyone who got a slot.

EDIT: These are flying away like hot cakes, so I'm opening 4 more slots for your enjoyment.

All the info you need is below - please read everything. For those of you who are already familiar with the terms, check the changelog to see if anything you were used to might have changed.

Changelog

Here's a list of the changes from the last time I took commissions. This is good for everyone to know, but especially for those of you might have already read through my commission information post in the past and just want to know what's different.

  • New commission type : Cute stuff!
  • Back to ‘normal’ commissions; I will now draw full body characters, full backgrounds and multiple characters again. My commission info tab now accurately reflects my prices again.
  • Painted and Cel-shaded pics that aren’t Cute stuff now automatically come with at least a minimal background (a cast shadow, a textured backdrop, etc.) at no extra cost.
  • I now always add Soft shading to all cel-shaded commissions, including Cute stuff, and have included the price of the Soft shading in the base price of those commission types.
  • I no longer offer a discount for grayscale/monochrome paintings since nobody goes for that anyway.
  • I have increased the baseline price of painted commissions (+10$) and of their associated simple (+$5) and complex (+5$) backgrounds since paintings take me significantly more time than cel-shaded images and were previously simply not worth the effort for me.
  • On top of solo male, I will now draw adult scenes with more than one character, provided they’re all male.
  • I have changed the wording of several sections of this commission info post, but there’s been no important change beyond those stated above.

Commission types and price list

Follow this link to see what kinds of images I propose for this round, along with their price tags and an example of the results you can expect. Check out my gallery as well for more examples.

At the moment, I offer digital work on Photoshop only. No traditional artwork/vectors/etc this time.

How can I get a slot?

Simply post a comment below and tell me what type of commission you're looking for. Slots are on a first come, first serve basis - I'll reply to your post and tell you when you're in. If I don't reply, that doesn't necessarily mean you don't get a spot; I might free one later if someone gives up their slot, can't send me the required references or payment or just fails to respond in time. In any case, if you get a spot, I'll let you know.

Once you're in, send me a note (using this site’s note system) with the details of your commission(s) :

  • A description of what you want, including character(s), background, pose, point of view;
  • References of the characters you want drawn as well as any other reference image you want me to see for pose/background/etc;
  • An email address where I can send you the finished product, at full size and without a watermark, once I'm done.

Text descriptions are not okay unless your character is really quite generic (if the situation arises, I'll be the judge of that).

For now, I am opening six slots.

Current slots :

  1. Haasky & Akahito (from FurAffinity)

  2. Haasky & Akahito (from FurAffinity)

  3. lshadow_drako (from FurAffinity)

  4. Thrakos (from FurAffinity)

  5. SulferDragon (from FurAffinity)

  6. Adam0800 (from FurAffinity)

  7. UncannyHum (from FurAffinity)

  8. Drakonus (from FurAffinity)

  9. Aerys (from FurAffinity)

  10. lshadow_drako (from FurAffinity)

Do's and don't's

Just so you know, my list of do's and don't's is both open to change and open to interpretation. If you would me to draw something that you thing might cross the line and be part of what I mention in my list of don't's, ask me about it. Also note the lists very well could change in future commission rounds.

Do's

Even though they aren't commonly seen in my gallery, I actually would draw :

  • Females (including in mature, but not adult, situations - for now)
  • Adult art (only males for now)
  • Ferals
  • Humans

However, I haven't frequently done either of the above, so take into account my lack of experience if you ask that of me.

Don't's

  • Vore, gore (limited violence is okay), scat, watersports, cub or hyper
  • Herms or ferals in mature-rated or adult-rated situations
  • Solo females in adult-rated situations or multiple characters in adult-rated situations if there’s at least one female among them (for now)
  • Babyfur (for now! I don't mind the tame version of it, but I can't really draw children very well)
  • Transformation (for now! Again, not because I have anything against it, but simply because I don't think I can pull it off very well)
  • Pregnancy (for now! Same reasons once again)
  • Sequences or comics, including pictures-inside-other-pictures (for now)
  • Extreme body types: massively obese, incredibly muscular, etc. (for now)

Anything else that isn't in either list is probably fine, but I reserve myself the right to refuse to draw something I'm not comfortable with, regardless of my reasons.

Payment information and the input you can expect of me

Once you have your slot and have sent me your commission info, I will start working on your image as soon as I go down the list and reach your turn. I will send you a basic sketch of the image and will wait for your input.

Keep in mind that my sketches might contain errors: you are welcome to point them out. If you don't like what you see, I will go sketch some more until you’re happy with what you get (so long as I agree I can improve things further given my skill). If you do like the sketch, I will finish the image once I receive your payment.

All payments are to be sent using Paypal and I will not start refining the sketch until I receive a single, full payment: I will send all necessary details to commissioners through personal notes on this website or, if you prefer, emails. If you're already in my friends list on one of the IMs I use, we can also exchange the info over chat. Due to the flat fees Paypal takes off every transaction, DO NOT send me multiple partial payments - I won't work on your drawing if you do and I’ll shave the flat fees off any refund you could get.

I accept both US dollars (USD) or Canadian dollars (CAD). My prices are listed in USD, so if you will pay me in CAD, tell me in advance, for we'll have to take into account the exchange rate from USD to CAD (we'll use whatever exchange rate was going on on Paypal, on the day you greenlighted the sketch - I'll keep you informed).

If you have paid me but I can't complete your image for whatever reason, I will send you a full refund, Paypal fees included. If I did complete your image, I will never issue any refund - if you are not happy with the final result and I agree I didn't do as well as you could rightfully expect, contact me and we'll arrange something (probably a free second image or a complete remake). But if I know I did fine and you're still unhappy, well, that's your problem.

Once I'm done with your image, I will post a limited-resolution, watermarked version of it and will send you both that file and the actual full-size, sans-watermark original via email. You are welcome, and in fact encouraged, to repost the watermarked version to your own account afterwards.

If you so desire, I can send you an actual bill or invoice in .pdf format. You have to ask me, though - I don't do it unless I’m asked.

Additional information

Once you have a commission spot, communication through personal notes on this website is preferred over all other means, but I can, if you so desire, use emails instead (if you do, you'll have to tell me in advance; I'll give you the address to use at that point). Instant messengers are also fine if you’re already in one of my IM lists (if you're not, I am okay with temporarily adding you). Note that I respond to emails a lot slower than to notes.

Please keep in mind that since I'm still an upstarting artist, there's a risk I might make some mistakes. I am not yet skilful enough to reliably mass-produce images of perfectly sustained quality at all times; judge by my gallery and ask me to start over if you think the basic sketch(es) I sent you is/are not going anywhere. I will be happy to correct the mistakes you see until you are satisfied! :)
