I have been thinking about plans for my 21st birthday pretty much since I turned 20 and right now I have passed the first phase: flinging shit onto the wall until something sticks. Now I can move on to the more structured "if-then" phase. There are four major plans, but before I can get into that:

Pills: If I cannot taper my evening medication before the event, all plans are off. I will see my doctor in January about tapering Risperdahl. My plan is to take one less pill per week per month until the event and go at least one month without taking any at all. If that is too quick for this medication, all plans are off. My "first drink" will be delayed until the KCFur party after the tapering is complete.

If I can taper off by my 21st birthday, here are my four plans:

The Washington Plan is to celebrate my 21st birthday at Rainfurrest. This is the most expensive plan, and because of this I will only do this if my portfolio is performing exceptionally well. There are two benefits to this: it is far away and there will be many attendees. I would also have more ways to enjoy myself in Washington than in Missouri. However, there are many drawbacks. The biggest one is that most of the KCFurs will not be there. Another drawback is that it will be during the fall semester, and I would have to work ahead an entire weekend. However, I would not have to worry about driving anywhere, and I could enjoy some drinks on the plane ride home. Would more ways of my enjoying myself be worth leaving most of the KCFurs behind and the added stress at school? I have 295 days to answer that.

The Power & Light Plan is to celebrate at the Power & Light District at night and/or at a local park during the day. If I go to the Power & Light District, my plan will be to take a cab, a bus or AmTrak to the city and back. If I celebrate at a local park, it will probably be the one we had the KC FurBQ at. Celebrating at a local park will require further planning. This is the second-most expensive plan.

Invite a select group of furries to have a calm, quiet dinner at a local restaurant that is at least somewhat fancy. There are plenty such places in the metropolitan area. This is the third-most expensive plan.

Have a bowling meet on my 21st birthday and celebrate and drink there. I have heard of a bowling alley that blocks off sections for private events, and I might consider going there. This bowling meet will be independent of KC FurBowl. This is the cheapest plan.

The only plan that can be combined is "BOWLING!" That can only be combined with "Fancy Restaurant Invasion" or "Power & Light Plan."
