Dear laptop: by Masakuni

STOP. BLUESCREENING.

Seriously, this is the only laptop I have, I can't replace it and still afford Anthrocon, so I've got to make it last. But it's doing the exact same shit that killed my previous HDD and made me take this thing to repairs.

For all of last week I thought most of the computer problems have subsided, but lately, once again my laptop is throwing blue screens at random intervals, even if I leave my laptop alone for a few minutes. It used to be I could uninstall and reinstall Flash and Shockwave since they have new versions and it'd go away, but nope, still happening. I've been trying to update drivers that WhoCrashed tells me to, but they are still happening and I don't even know if I'm doing it right. Without a working CD-ROM or a USB stick I can't run Memtest to see if the RAM sticks are faulty.

I'm at my wit's end with this machine. I'm afraid to even scroll down or even breathe on this laptop for fear it'll throw yet another BSOD at me. BSODs expect you to figure out what the parameter numbers say, a Google search will throw varying answers at you that are hard to execute and don't cover my -exact- problem, and a lot of the problems involve me either spending money or doing something my laptop cannot do.

I don't know if it's a driver issue or a hardware issue or something that's related to me still not having enough money to upgrade to something better than XP, but I wanna find the exact issue and fix it for good, because I am sick of this machine BSODing all the time, but I wanna fix it by spending $0 on it.

So someone. Anyone. Help me out. Help me figure out what causes the BSODs, and how I can fix them. I'm expecting responses to this journal for once. Seriously.
