Hello World. :)

I am just another avid creator of a vast majority of content, including but not limited to orchestral music, novels and short stories. I hope you enjoy my content, even if some of it traces its root back to 2009 or so.

I began my journey into the art of creation back in the early days of 2006. I've used Macromedia Flash 8 Pro to create endless short stick figure animations. Then in late 2008 I've taken up composing. My first digital audio workstation was FL Studio 8. It took me months to get the hang of it, including all the plugins, knobs and intricate tabs and menus of endless possibility. I began in the genres of hardstyle, hardcore, then moved onto techno, trance and drum & bass. Didn't stay there long, as I've grown to love soundtrack and film scores more and more. I decided to try my own hand at composing detailed orchestral compositions, first ones were run of the mill horrible as was expected, but then I began to grow slowly and enjoy the experience with every new step. I've actually completed my first year and second half of the second year of college for the course of BTEC Level 3 in Music Technology, in the end I didn't learn much. It was mostly about mixing, mastering and performing live shows with the right digital and analog equipment.

Somewhere along the line, I grew tired of composing, as my expectations were set too high. I wanted to create in the likely footsteps of Hans Zimmer and Two Steps From Hell, but alas it was not to be, as a digital composition can never hold up to a real orchestrated performance. I knew little about music theory, but I tried my best. It was a learning experience, all 5 years of it.

After a while, I decided to move onto writing. You can see a pattern here. Everything I did I did out of sheer simple joy. To create something of your own, to let it be appreciated and loved, and keep letting your ideas flow, your imagination soar. That was it felt like to be, the feeling of accomplishment, the feeling of surpassing something you've created, was the best feeling in the world. The less constraints you put on yourself, from public expectation or peer pressure, the more free and imaginative your music was. I need to find that moment again, to grasp it in my hands, and never let it go. To live with it, and let it guide me. Thank you for listening.
