Le Furlandia Aftermath by HornetV2

Greetings people! So, back from Furlandia now, let's catch up with what I have online, but here's the resume of the experience:

So compared to Furlandia 2013 (which although I do not consider a complete failure, it was not exactly that good) this year it was actually pretty good. It now really looked more like a convention, and although still was a little bit quiet, it's starting to look good. Hotel was a good choice, it's not far from the Cascades station where's plenty of restaurants, and technically being right next to the airport should make it easy for when the convention grows. Yeah there was a bit of a blah time with the E. coli virus in the water (Note: This was an overall city warning by the Portland Water Bureau. Info here: http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/.....water_not.html ), however, we managed. :p

As of my own experience, well, it was hang out with friends. Mainly Sulfer and Mnty who also spent nights at my place to save in hotel expenses, the only thing considered fun we had at my place was drinking tequila and watch Skyfall :p. Also hang out with Argent, Red and Ragscoon mostly. Mnty wore Lager for the parade and around a bit. I finally got to debut my Aegislash prop with Owain, and ran around with Hornet as expected. Commissions, yes! Got 2 that shall be posted soon.

Overall, Furlandia starts to look promising, and after the success this year, I'm definitely going back in 2015, and hope it grows more, about time we had a decent convention in Portland. Alright, so my next stop convention wise is Anthrocon in a bit over a month. Was fun seeing you all who attended Furlandia and see you all again soon!

Now let's check my messages because sure I have a lot :p

I heard this year's Furlandia was much better than last year's at the no-air conditioning stair-con. Sorry, I had to miss it this year from last minute plan changes, but I hope to join you next year (and anytime in between).
