weasyl ettiquete queston by Cosuman

Is using the "offer collection" option a decent and not pushy method of telling someone of something you drew them a thing or is it too pushy, with the whole "I'm offering this to put on a collection" thingy?

honestly i say use it and don't assume it's pushy. cause there's currently no option ot REQUEST for collections, so offering is the only way to get something into yours.

Personally, I think it is one of the easiest ways to let someone know you drew something for them without the artist having to manually type a notification to them and/or the other person having to scout around for the picture. I had these issues with most art sites and I'm glad there is Weasyl that can simplify this system of collection of works made "for you." I don't think it is very pushy either, because only the original artist of the submission(s) can send out collection offers. There is also an option for users you've watched so that you can disable inbox notifications of new collections coming from them, so I don't think it is as pushy as it seems to be. :)

I think it's a okay to do! They can always reject it if they don't want to collect stuff. It sounds like a good way to notify people that you've made them something! I tend to accidentally miss things that were made for me if I let my submission backlog get too big.

I might have to use that. As I did draw you something a year ago. Hope you don't mind....

I have no idea what "offer collection" option does, sorry

I think it is a good way to tell you did a thing, and I wish the collections were made so you can request something into your own collections and organize collections better.

The only fault I have with it is that people must be on the site and using it actively to have pieces to collect.
