Its not in progress at the moment but its universally seen as the best option (universally being all the airsofters I've talked to about it) and I beleave there is a way around the jamming that you get when firing in semi auto!

Whack in a Mosfet! As I see it, you can wire in whether the thing initiated semi or full auto, I.e one the other or both. Well, I'll try and explain this without images.. ^^'

The selection on the AUG is pretty much the same system on any other AEG, except that they're both triggered by the same single trigger pull but at certain distances (see the AUG's progressive trigger pull, fairly certain there's a wiki page on it). On one side of the gearbox there's a little contained copper plate that distributes power to both parts of said selection system, so (in theory) by wiring the mosfet into the path of the semi part, you can be as fast as you want with the trigger and the mosfet should let the gearbox cycle fully before stopping, meaning you won't get that annoying jam on semi!
