Today, I was very saddened by the news that one of the best actors in the business died today by pneumonia. Hollywood truly lost one of their talented actors. And of course our generation for portraying the character Private Eye Detective Eddie Valiant in the classic movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Such great memories of this guy. He did great in that movie. Very challenging to not only pretend the animated characters are there, but to also act to people that are not actually there. He did a great job and was noted forever for it. Nobody else could do it.

Of course, I do remember him in other good movies as well. Including playing Smee in Hook. He did a great job playing him as well. Though, he had a tough time with certain bad movies as well. Notably the Super Mario Brothers movie. Even though the entire movie was bad, at least Hoskins did his best to play a character. Even though his Brooklyn accent wasn't there. And I also saw him in a Jet Li movie as he played an abusive gangster who treats Jet Li like a dog. Even though poorly written, he did make a great intense performance. And the last movie I saw him was in Snow White and The Huntsman where he played the lead drawf.

You'll forever be missed, Bob. May you rest in peace and thanks for the memories you gave us with your performance with Roger Rabbit. salutes
