A note about online chatting... by ramzyuu

Posting a journal on this because several people have asked…
“Why don’t you chat with me anymore? Did I do something to offend you?”

First answer is no, I can’t remember the last time someone offended or annoyed me to the extent that I deliberately stopped chatting with them.
So don’t worry about that. The problem isn’t you; it’s me.

Trying to manage a life where you…
a) have a full-time job
b) eat right
c) exercise
d) maintain a social life
e) sleep
f) entertain yourself
g) produce artwork

… is extraordinarily difficult to balance. And there are sacrifices, unfortunately.
Videogames and online chatting took the heaviest hit in this regard.

Please don’t interpret this as, “I’m constantly busy and don’t have time to chat with you.”

I still do chat and try to make myself readily available. Keep in mind however… You’re competing for my time.
I always have something to do. Some project, artwork, etc. that I need to work on. I’m at my job during weekday mornings and afternoons, too.
Someone else is also probably chatting with me because they reached out to me first, so I’m not for lack of chat partners either.

I don’t particularly like this situation… I wish I had more free time so I could just reach out to random people I haven’t talked to in a while.
But if I took the time to chat regularly with every single person I consider a friend, I’d literally have no time for anything else.

Lastly, remember that the whole, “You don’t talk to me anymore!” thing goes both ways… I could easily make the same complaint. :P

TLDR; If you want to chat with me, send me a message!
