what...is the appeal with characters that looks like someone took like rainbow barf. thats all i can think of when i see these kind of characters. this is not to say that every character donning something rainbow is bad, some characters actually pull it off really well. but it seems like 9/10 times someone decides to use rainbow; its the entire character. what is the appeal!? i dont understand! honestly i would feel ashamed of myself for making such a character. its just not good to look at. at all; its very offensive to the eye. and i cant be the only one who feels this way; can i? does anyone else see these kind of characters and go "... WHY?"

i like seeing characters with interesting design concepts. but defaulting to "rainbow everything and black/ white everything else" is just...terrible. thats

what do you guys think about that. what do you think is "too much" on a character. for me its the rainbow colors/ too many markings/ trying to chimera a bunch of species together/ and tagging your character a "shapeshifter" (really, shapeshifter has to be the most un-original thing i see a character tagged as; and all it is, is "it was too hard to pick a species so i just choose to be everything :D)
