Moth news & queue update by MothMonarch

It's finally spring in southeastern PA, and the moths I've been overwintering have officially been set up to eclose when they're ready. For those who don't remember or weren't following me when I first started this journey, I have two cecropia moths and one luna moth currently in cocoons, soon to emerge. It's likely to be 1-3 weeks until anything exciting happens. Still, I already got a good look at the pupae (the bugs inside the cocoons - it's generally safe to open a cocoon as long as you don't harm the pupa itself). Everybody's alive and moving. It looks like three boys, though I'm new to sexing silkmoths at any stage other than adulthood and am not sure about the luna.

I'm taking pictures regularly and will have far more when these fuzzbutts decide to make their full appearances. Not sure whether to should post some here, or how many, but I have been documenting this in a section of my art site's blog called "Mothkeeping." There may even be a livestream with me and one or more moths to talk about the hobby and any other questions or topics you guys would like to raise. :)

Commissions are going well. I took most of the weekend to work on personal and show art but prioritize orders during the workweek whenever possible. I'm still open for all manner of things from badges and charms to full illustrations of characters - see the list of possibilites in my previous journal. Also, here's the working queue:

  1. Full Character Toony for w0lfpawpaw - waiting on feedback
  2. Minifig for chazore - paid; pre-sculpt planning
  3. YOU COULD BE HERE??
