So I've been keeping this a secret for a while, but my father and I are discussing a possible trip to the UK and a few places on the Continent next year.

The reason for the trip is rather personal and I don't care to elaborate (it's not any kind of surgery in case you were wondering). I think the only reason Dad wants to do it is because he's finally recovered from his divorce and wants to get back into traveling again, and I've given him an excuse to go on an adventure. Works for me.

There's really nothing set in stone yet. No dates, no definite itinerary, and we're not even sure how many will be with us. Ideally, I would like to include Kobi on this because he's never been outside the country and I would love to show him where I was living when we first met.

Still, it's been nearly a decade since I've been to the UK. I've missed a lot in the lives of the friends I left there, some of them I've lost track of completely because they don't use the same channels of communication I do (a surprising number of them aren't even on FA or Weasyl) or because I've been bad at keeping up contact.

The trip will be focused mainly in the south and west, around the south coast, Bristol Channel, and Welsh Marches. Among other things, we're going to be checking out some medieval sites I missed last time I was there. I hesitate to say much more than that because it's all extremely tentative.

TL;DR: Might visit the UK next year, don't have exact dates or schedules. Watch this space for more info as this develops.
