Finally came around to do a review of it. I actually saw it yesterday. Reason I took so long is because I wasn't sure who actually reads movie reviews on this site. Not the best place to put down a movie review, but don't know any other place.

Anyways, here are my thoughts.

The movie was awesome! I think it's better than the first one. I like the first one as it's a throw back to the straight up good guy vs. bad guy comic book feel of the 1940s and that's always fun to see. :) This one, deals with something more modern. It's Captain America thrown in a Jack Ryan/Bourne/Mission Impossible type of film. And it works for a comic book movie. Especially this one. Captain America trying to fit in a world that has become more grey instead of black and white where he came from. It still has the mentality of a comic book feel, but it mixes in so well with a political thriller feel that it just works. There are many easter eggs in this that many fans will go nuts for. And wait till at the end credits. It will make you start to think of a huge what if. ;)

Also, it came to my attention after commenting with a few users on YouTube. Not sure if it's a rumor or not, but according to them. Chris Evans doesn't want to be Captain America anymore. After the second Avengers and Captain America 3, he's done with acting and playing Cap. In other words, he's pulling a stint that few actors and actresses had done. Ones such as Kristen Dunst, Kristen Knightly, and Orlando Bloom. They stop playing characters in known franchises as they don't want to be known just for those roles alone, expand their careers, and don't want to be typecasted at all. IMO, that's a stupid reason. I do understand for where they are coming from. They don't want to go in the footsteps of Mark Hammil and Carrie Fisher as they hadn't been able to casted into any other roles for any movies since then. But, you can't be too picky in a movie business. Sometimes being typecasted isn't a bad thing. It means you'll get a job no matter what. I just think it sucks that Chris Evans is even thinking of quitting after his run as Captain America. I thought he enjoyed doing that role and being in those movies. sighs

Also, the whole time I watched Captain America 2, one thing I keep asking myself. Where's Jeremy Renger as Hawkeye? I'm a huge fan of his and I want to see him in more action movies. I hope he didn't decide to quit the Marvel Cinematic Universe gig and decides to just be in drama movies. :/
