ratings misuse by Lioness
so since i always see outright porn rated as mature on here i was like oh maybe boners ARE allowed and i got confused
but then i got in trouble for it?? like wtf theres so much porn thats rated mature but my little boner is the one that got noticed......
but I SEE IT EVERYWHERE AND IM MAD because i dont want to see the outright porn i have explicit content hidden for a reason
because i see it everywhere and seem to be the only person that gets it changed I'm gonna just keep reporting everyones porn thats not rated explicit cuse i dont wanna see it
edit: i didnt get in trouble trouble but im pretty sure there's a 3 strike thing on rating misuse and i hate not following rules properrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr so it upset me

Ahh yeah okay, some art sites are really hardcore about the ratings misuse (as I'm sure you know) so it's a bit of a weight off my shoulders to hear you guys are more lenient on a case by case basis. I'm a huge rule stickler so getting it changed/pointed out by a mod kind of freaked me out... Even if it was done in a really soft way haha.
Now that I've figured out the whole 'I wasn't confused, everyone else is just dong it wrong' dealio I don't THINK I'll have any more issues. It's great to know y'all are accessible though!
I usually am unsure about reporting things, so it's good to have a go ahead from you as well.

In an ideal world, the ratings guide would be 100% clear and everyone would read it through before posting, but that's not how things are unfortunately. We're happy to help and get things in order, and that's also why we try to be as nice about it as possible. I've had some at-length discussions with a few users about why certain policies are the way they are, but in terms of ratings changes, I've never once had someone react poorly. In fact, a lot of users end up being thankful, which is always nice. I signed up as a mod to help Weasyl and its community reach its potential; while the task is never-ending, I've enjoyed it and am happy to make myself as accessible as people could desire, within site policies.
But yes, please don't feel afraid to report things! It'll be a big help to us.

D: I don't get the rating system here at all, the only good news is I've drawn all of 1 mature image ever since joining weasyl so at least I haven't gotten in trouble personality for getting things wrong x-x I would think you could ask someone to clear it up.

If you see it, please, please report it. We mostly work off of tickets, as it's extremely hard to be browsing all the time, and I personally use the Moderate 13+ filter when browsing the site on my own time. As for getting in trouble, ratings changes aren't a big deal at all. The "three strikes" thing applies mostly to someone who keeps misrating the same content over and over, despite being specifically helped and referenced to the ratings guide. We're always more than happy to answer any questions about the ratings or community guides.
