Recovering from food poisoning currently but thinking about pendants and stuff for my shop.
I am THINKING of switching to using OOAK original artwork for the larger pendants, and just doing printed stuff in the SMALLER things (like rings and earring studs) and cheaper things (when I get supplies for bottlecap charms)
What do you think?

oop one thing though! The pledges aren't per month they are per image/page - since how much I'm able to produce each month can fluctuate depending on other life factors - so I might only be able to do like, 1 image or new page a month, or I might be able to do more than that - I just want to make sure there isn't a misunderstanding!

Why not have both original and print versions for the larger pendants?

I'd rather dedicate my time and supplies to things people are more willing to buy. If I'm going to sell stuff at a con, I'd probably make a bunch of printed versions of EVERYTHING to have a nice big stock, but for selling online, again, I'd rather dedicate my energy more carefully.

Hmm, I guess I always see prints as a way to sell more of a picture and to make art that may sell as an original still available to others. Doing original work for cons and prints as well always seemed like good marketing to me. But that is just my opinion.

I'm planning on making my originals OOAK, and going pretty nuts with making different sizes and styles of them (ornate settings, fancy necklaces, whee!), and making a few printed pendants that'll be more basic - just a basic setting and chain. Pendants don't cost much to make, and the printed ones are pretty quick to put together, I'm not super worried about putting too much time and money into them, they're my side project/warm up while I work on bigger stuff.
But I don't really know what people will like, so we'll see. I'm not going to dump too much money into it unless people buy a bunch of stuff. If I don't sell something, I figure I can use it as a giveaway prize or something if I do a promo. I have a con coming up in May, so I'm hoping jewelry will go over well when people can see it in person. I don't know if you're planning to go to any cons or art shows soon, but I feel like they might be a good thing to stock up on for that.
I think giving things neat titles and uploading them one by one over the course of a few days, instead of batch uploads (at least with ooak original pendants) might help people get excited about the individual pieces. Maybe :P

I think the appeal of having more original art OOAK pendants is the limited nature of them :3 it encourages people to buy.
AND YEAH I do plan on doing cons again at some point, and I figure before a con I will stock up on printed jewelry and such since it'll be a cheaper thing for people to buy and probably easier to sell in person (IMPULSE BUYS??)

But seriously I find what I see in your pendants and charms tempting enough. I think what ever you do will be fine.
