No matter how many times I see this, I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that THESE ARE NOT SPRITES. The amount of technical skill and talent that needed to be combined to make this, it absolutely boggles my mind. It is the most visually impressive thing I've seen in a video game in the last decade. I never thought we'd reach the point where even my eyes could be completely fooled into thinking a 3D model is a cartoon... even if it is only one company who's managed to pull this off perfectly.
Just for the record, I absolutely despise the "style" Street Fighter and MvsC 3 went with in their newest iterations. I just find it aesthetically repulsive and nauseating for a fighting game. That said, if those games kept their cartoon appearance and instead now looked like this video, I'd absolutely loose my mind over them.

this is absolutely incredible. The fact that they even make the frame rate match the amount of frames a sprite would have is just a beautiful touch. They wanted that old feel, but with more flexibility that CGI models can have, and you can tell they cared about how it was executed.

Every single cut scene is all CGI, it takes you a moment because it almost perfectly captures an animated cutscene.
