trade do's / dont's by Donro
so someone asked me for a trade and didn't come through.
This isn't the first time so i'm setting out basic rules for trades here as I do enjoy them most of the time and people like to ask me for them.
- EQUALITY. I draw a fully lined/shaded/coloured pic you do the same.. no ifs or buts.
- I will more than likely finish mine first; minimum I expect a wip or sign of your half within 2 weeks of that date.
- Agree what you want before we start, I will note it and do it.
- If I have no art within a month I will warn you.
- No art within 6 weeks I will artist beware you.
I CANNOT stress 1 enough, I drew a fully shaded, lined coloured pic with background in a trade and got back the shittiest half assed poorly drawn fart in return, no the quality of art isn't the problem more so the fact they can do much better and do..the constant feed of excuses and lies culminating in a quick 10 minute doodle and flat colour was disgusting; if I spend time making you something nice I want the same in return.

I get plenty of traders who are perfect Just the ones who aren't realllly annoy me
Drew a pic spent hours, the other person doodled a pic with parts missing threw the wrong colour on and went here; then had the gall to go "I drew more"..... Ugh some people should be ashamed to claim they are artists

those are some good rules. Also yeah that kind of bullshit is the reason I don't do trades anymore. Heck once I made an entire goddamn plush for a person (which cost me material and everything!) and they basically disappeared from the internet so I never got my part in return. The only good thing was it was a plush of Mewtwo so I was able to sell it to someone else after waiting a good 5 or 6 months for them to fucking update on the progress of it x-x
Since then I've only done maybe 4 trades ever and only with people I'm super close internet friends with.
