ADOPTABLES - Auctions vs Buying annnd otherstuff by Dogmeat

Hello! Since starting the whole "adoptables on weekends" thing, i have a few questions to ask you guys if you dont mind :>

Some of my questions concern the content of the adoptable aswell~

  • What works better for you? Auctions for large character sheets, or premade designs with one piece of artwork attached? Isortamessedupmylastauction BUT i have a better idea of how to run them now, haha ;;v;;

  • Content wise, what would you like to see? I tend to try and pick animals i havent drawn before or have drawn very little of, so its more of an exercise in translating said animal then picking say, a cat or a dog. Do you find yourself drawn to more familiar animals or the obscure?

  • Nudity vs neutrality: Im probably mmmayyybeee not going to have adoptables with raging boners anytime soon, but i dont see nonsexual nudity as a problem! What's more appealing to you though as the buyer/viewer however? Is it important to see that aspect of the character before you buy or doesnt matter? (not sure if this'll effect my content because im very not really gender concerned??? but feedback is appreciated uvu)

feel free to answer one, none, or all of them or just pop in to say hello, dont matter :> Im going to have a few adoptables up by this weekend/tonight however, so keep an eye out for that!

    all my taums are naked. i think you'll be fine on that part. As for auctions and stuff i found out by watching others and finding out things through trial and error. I tested my little guys -pets her oc- for fifteen bucks autobuy, they went instantly. So i decided to make that the base price. I found out later the highest they usually go is around 45, so i offer artwork for that. I Dont have a base for my creatures, i paint each one individually, so each one is different. Some people use bases and just fix it as it goes. Selling it at a base price.

    Content i'm not sure, you have to be comfortable and happy with the creature you draw, and it always helps to study them before hand to know any little things that can help out.
