There's a thing going around Tumblr. This thing:
Agreeing to make couple OCs with someone but neither of you are allowed to show your OCs to each other until they are ready and now those two are going to get together and they must work it out no matter what

I'd be tempted though do you have to set up context beforehand? like what world etc?

Yeah I think context would be important else you've end up with like.... really weird pairings, though I guess that could be part of the fun. Aliens with mythological beasties, monsters with strange creatures, etc.
...okay no that sounds kind of awesome, not gonna lie xD

What if it's an OC I've had in mind for a long while, but I just never drew or got the design down?

I'd say it'd count! I mean, so long as they end up partnered with the other person's OC (though honestly I can see this being used for friendships, polycules, siblings, etc, easily) it shouldn't be a problem!
