Some Clarification by jmac32here

We do not take well to such poor behaviors regarding what VISITORS do on our TNSC Replacement site.

We are an admin staff and we would like to clarify something.
TNSC - The New Site of Creativity - was 10 years old, showing its age, and needing a refresh.
At the same time, under the guise of some mindsets, TNSC would have been strictly a porn site - simply because (like MANY other furry sites, including this one) we allow adult content. (Primary Difference is that we happen to have a Photo Gallery as well)

Because of this, TNSC was too vague of a site name, and didn't bring this allowing of adult content to light - even though we had the site specifically on servers that if not designed for adult sites, allowed adult content.

Now we will admit making a slight error in the initial naming of TNSC's Replacement Site, YFF.
(We initially named it Yiffy Furry Fun, in hopes people would understand that the site was about freely expressing yourself and simply having fun, just like TNSC's mission.)

The sole reason we chose the name was to bring to light that YFF does allow Adult Content.
(We already have the Furry Kids Corner in the works for SFW only stuff and for the younger Furry Crowd)

We have since made a clarification point to YFF's Name.
YFF is now the Yiffy AND Furry Fun Community and would also like to point out (as is now stated on the DOB entry page) that YFF is NOT strictly a porn site - and is merely following in the footsteps of TNSC.

(Hell, YFF is essentially TNSC Adult's Version Site with a brand new look and a new, more fitting and more focused name. A name that is not too terribly vague.)

In that light, since the TNSC Art Contest allowed users to Nominate anything of ANY rating - including adult - we felt it would fit better to make it part of the YFF Site. So it is now the YFF Art Contest.
(Yes, it has always been a Nomination Process, just like the Grammys and the Oscars. We don't even know who nominates it, we just get a link to -hopefully- the original piece.)

ANY visitor to YFF (just like it was to TNSC) could give any artist the HONOR of being NOMINATED into the contest, and as before we would alert the original artist on the original site to said nomination. Which, as always, granted them the RIGHT to decline the nomination and be removed from the lineup. (This system has NEVER changed in 10 years and only seen such flack recently due to a site name change.)

Now to clarify, the Art Contest has never done anything more than post a thumbnail/link to the ORIGINAL art on the ORIGINAL site. (Which, to the best of our knowledge, falls under Fair Use)

Now granted, when the nomination is given to us, we will add it to the lineup pending approval/rejection of the honor of being part of such a process. (And we still consider it an honor even with the new site.) Anytime an artist (or the character owner) declines this honor and makes the request to not be a part of the contest, we (as we always have done) will respectfully remove it from the lineup without any notice to our sites visitors. (We have done it this way for 10 years, and have had no issues.)

What we cannot take is verbal abuse for us following this age old process to the letter. This remains true even though we are now operating our Community Projects under new names to better cater them to the focus of these sites - which is the furry fandom in general. We have never received such abuses when the Art Contests flew under the TNSC Banner. Simply because we change the name to bring our allowance of Adult Content on our sites - which has been true even with TNSC - to light, we are now getting such verbal abuse and threats over what is a misunderstanding. YFF IS TNSC, just with a new name.

YFF is, just like TNSC was, a safe haven for furries of ALL walks of life and ALL views to freely express themselves and have fun without ridicule from staff or other members.

Now allow us to note: We have had artists deny their work from being on the TNSC Art Contest, and we always appreciate how cordial artists have been with our staff, and have never had any need to say anything other than the face that we respect their wishes. The reason for this post is because we have received VERBAL ABUSE from someone in regards to our Art Contest Process recently - even though our process and policies have never changed in over 10 years. The only thing that has changed recently is that we changed the name of TNSC to YFF/FKC.

Now, if you are curious why we chose YFF.
We spent several hours racking up catchy names that would show our support to the Furry Fandom, and all aspects of it - includng the adult side - and YFF was the ONLY name we could come up with that didn't already exist.
