I went to apply for this job as product designer. So, I went to the interview, and was told I'd be otherwise fine but 'too old' for them because I turn 29 next month...
What.
Oh well, back to searching another job, then. Meanwhile, time to draw stuff while I have so much free time then...

Even in the EU its not OK to turn down someone for a job based solely on their age. Its discrimination, plain and simple.

Well, knowing the paper pushers in my country, this is what they do... follow even the stupidest rules. I don't know who decided to put age limit on that particular job, though.

It's tough to deal with in the short term, but in the long run you're probably better off not working with people like that.

What... WHAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!! What kind of shit is that? 29 too old? Godammit!!! it's my age! so for those people I'm old?, who are they? 15 old brats? What kind people do they need? One unexperienced brat or people that knows their bussiness?... But anyway... 29 too old? C'MON!!!! That the most stupid shit I ever read in my whole life... man! telling a 50er that is too old for a work is dumb enough, now this?
I hear they (UE) have vacant issues (lack of people in jobs... I don't know if I said it right)... how the hell are they supposed to have people employed if they have stupid limits like this? This just dumb...
Sorry for the rant, but this is just unfair, someone with your talent deserves a place! Reading this makes me rage!!! >:(
Hopefully, you will find a much better job, rather than that shitty place...

Yeah, I found it odd, they needed people who had experience and ideas, but still had that kind of age limit for some reason... No wonder that job's been open for a while. :D
And I think the people hiring there are at least older than 30...

Zira, truth be told, if that job was within the United States, they could be in a lot of trouble due to failure to comply with Equal Opportunity Employment laws. Shame that ye aren't, 'cause that's just plain horse-shit.
