Here's the situation: My wife and I are divorcing. I've got a place secured in Ohio that I'll be going to, but my wife is unemployed, and currently does not have a place secured. We've been saving up money for the both of us, and ended up delaying the move a month to give me more time to save up money.

However, I just got a certified letter in the mail today. Our landlord lost a court case and owes a significant amount of money, and all rent payments are being garnished and redirected to pay this massive debt. Since our landlord is rather shady, we're not going to wait around for him to pull something to try to get more money out of the tenants, so we're giving our 30 days notice to move.

Here's the problem- That leaves us less time to save enough money for the both of us to survive for a couple months while we look for work. I'm much more concerned about my wife's well being than my own, so I'm more concerned about getting her the money she needs to have a roof over head while she finds work. She does not drive, so that makes things more difficult for her.
