This still holds as a good movie and as an amazing glimpse into those times. A great mystery where ignorance and fear work for and against final justice. Thanks for sharing!

I love how at the end, he decides to go on into the priesthood, most Hollywood movies would end with him staying with the girl as a romance. But he knows love is fickle and fades and you can't throw away your whole life over it. =)

Becoming a man of faith still, but thanks to William, one of knowledge and understanding.

Yeah! That's another great thing about the movie. In most films, the church is either the villain or the hero. But the church is just an institution, only as good or as bad as the individuals who run it. Instead of painting priests with a broad brush, it shows some who are irrational and intolerant, and others who are ingenious and understanding. It's a great balance most films lack, especially those that deal with religion. Also, did you catch the Sherlock Holmes homage? XD

William of Baskerville. Hard not too as I am an Irregular of Baker's Street. ;)
