Need some art advice by CreativeCrystal

So I've noticed that not many people commission me. At first, I thought it was my prices, so I lowered them. Apparently that didn't change anything. I even have expended my art galleries to DeviantArt, Facebook, Weasyl, and FurAffinity, but nothing has improved.

But then I realized something... Maybe my art skills aren't that great compared to most other artists around here. I've tried improving myself, but I feel as if I'm moving backwards. So I really need an honest opinion: what do I need to work on? Anatomy? Expressions? Something else? I would really appreciate some answers because I feel kinda lost right now. :/

    To tell you the absolute truth, I have no clue! O_o
    I see NO reason for people to NOT buy your work.
    There's nothing wrong with your anatomy work or expression work. It's toon logic, for goodness sake. <:P lol

    I'm sorry if you're feeling blue right now. <:' hugs (I'm kinda' the same way too)

      Thanks! I really appreciate it. :)

      I've been wanting to commission you and many others too but my budget's tight as well, so I understand.

        You're ALWAYS welcome, m'friend. <:3
        I DEFINITELY know how that feels! <:P Don't feel bad about it. I think that a good majority of artists are feeling the same way right now. ^^;

    I have no idea, your stuff's really nice. :/

    It could just be that there are already so many commission artists out there. I honestly don't see any problems with your art, I think they look really nice myself and if you keep at it, you should get some commissions eventually. In my experience, all it really takes to get started is to find one regular client, and then things sort of snowball from there. People see your commission work and get interested.
    To get started you could try doing a couple art trades or something, I mean, it won't get you any money but it will attract attention and at the very least you'll get some art in return out of it.

      Yeah, I've actually done several art trades and requests in the past and it's helped a little, but I've only had about 5 commissions over the past year. When I get more time, I'll probably do art trades again.

    I don't know, your skills are good, and sometimes even better than some artists who still get more commissions. Just draw more of your own work (and variance is good), through that you will get more exposure, and the commissioner audience follows eventually. Patience :)

      You're right, I should probably try to draw a wider variety of subjects/styles. Most of my art kinda looks the same anyway.
